Choices for Adult Living
Offered by Geneva Centre for Autism

The Choices for Adult Living Program facilitates the successful transition from high school to community participation for young adults with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program offers support with various goals including post-secondary education, volunteer job placements, employment support, leisure activities and person-centred planning. Toronto centralized intake process. Service begins as spaces become available. Participants can access service for a maximum of 7 years. Each person will complete service by the age of 30 or earlier.

How to ApplyParticipants must:
1) be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old,
2) live in Toronto,
3) have a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (including Asperger Syndrome) and
4) complete an eligibility assessment.

Comments
The program offers a combination of group activities and one-to-one supports. The one-to-one supports are offered to participants in relevant community-based settings that reflect the unique interests and goals of that person. Consultative support of an Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist and/or a Behaviour Therapist, may be obtained depending on the individualized needs of the participant.
