Program & Services
The following are details for the selected Agency Program:

Supported Independent Living
Offered by Community Living Toronto

The goal of the program is to provide support to adults with intellectual disabilities so as to develop responsibility for a wide range of living skills and to enable them to live as independently as possible. One quarter of residents live alone and the rest share their apartments, typically with one other person.

Program staff work closely with each individual to teach self-care, household management and budgeting skills. Inidviduals in the program are expected to be responsible for many of their own routines.

The adults served in this program must be in need of life skills training and demonstrate the motivation to participate in life skills programs.
