Program & Services
The following are details for the selected Agency Program:

Day Supports
Offered by ADDUS

Three separate Day Program sites in the North and West ends of Toronto offer essential supports and services to more than 50 participants by providing a series of engaging and dynamic programs and activity blocks that are community based. Our vision is to enable adults with developmental disabilities to have valued social roles within the community.

Day Program participants, along with input from family and staff, choose from a wide variety of programs and activity blocks that allow them to further develop their own personal goals, interests and objectives. By encouraging and fostering individual development, Addus enables Day Program participants to achieve self-fulfillment and independence.
Developed as part of our day programming Addus has 2 other internal programs that we offer to our participants.
Addus vocational program is set up to help provide participants with work based experiences and supports. It helps to move individuals closer to independence in their workplace and supports the contribution they are able to make each week at their place of employment. Current examples of some of the work partnerships we have are Starbucks and No Frills. A second internal program that we offer is the Addus passport program. This is offered to internal candidates within Addus. It is unique in that it supports participants in a 1-1 or 1-2 ratio in accessing their community and directing the types of activities they engage in more specifically. Activities range from using the YMCA each week, working at Starbucks, visiting the library and taking a pottery class. This unique opportunity helps participants to access and build community social roles in a natural capacity.
