Program & Services
The following are details for the selected Agency Program:

Lifestyle Strategies
Offered by Centre for Opportunities, Respect and Empowerment (CORE)

The Lifestyle Strategies program supports young adults transitioning from being a student to an adult lifestyle by teaching life skills, social skills and employment skills. Supportive service planning will be highly individualized and focused on the chosen lifestyle landscapes within their residential communities. Full time attendance is required and the cost of public transportation to and from the centre will be provided. Participants also have access to the Culinary Connections program that provides individuals with skills training to prepare for entry-level employment or volunteering in the food service and hospitality industry. The Farm Project was introduced as a tool to teach appropriate social skills, encourage physical activities and develop empathy and peer relationships through animal care and gardening. The participant's level of involvement will be voluntary and flexible. For more information visit CORE's website at www.core-toronto.ca.
