Mandate
To help people with disabilities. Our group helps people with disabilities be more assertive 'speak up' about what they want and need. |

Events
- Set up the first group.
- Had Elections, chose a President, Vice President, Treasurer and outside Committee Representative and decided what their duties would be.
- Had a fundraiser and planning a car wash and sports day to raise money this summer.
- Attended two Self Advocacy Conferences
- We decided we did not like how being called Clients made us feel so we worked hard to change our name to Members at our agency to feel like we were a part of something. Everyone calls us Members now!
- We had a fancy dinner out to celebrate our one year anniversary.
- We designed group flyers and hand them out any time we can.
- We have designed a logo and plan to make t-shirts
- We are interviewing a new staff to see if they will be a good person to help us.
- We are going to Metro Hall soon to talk about how being poor effects our life. We are speaking out and going there as a group.
- One of our Members sits on a bigger advocacy help group and brings back information for us.
- We helped work on the agencies policies.
- We want to work on our personal plans as we do not like how they are set up.
- We are working on having one of our members on the board of directors at Vita.
