| Mandate HAADD members are families & adults with autism who support each other by sharing and disseminating information. HAADD provide bursaries and grants through the Joseph Umbrico Bursary Programme as well as periodically assisting families in crisis. The HAADD mandate is to assist families of adults with autism or related developmental disorders to build and sustain good quality of life. We do this by sharing information about service and funding developments, providing support and encouragement through speakers, our bursary programme and above all else, listening. We are a small grass- roots group made up primarily of families with a member on the autism spectrum. At the present time we, have no paid staff. Our strength is in our commitment to finding ways of supporting our members and others in the autism community. | ||
| Events HAADD has presented several successful concerts featuring our member who is a world renowned harpist, often with exhibits of the work of artists with autism in our community. We have presented speakers on topics ranging from creating circles of support, individualized funding, PASSPORT, and other resources to help in creating meaningful lives in the community. | ||
